Create a Placement (W/O Package Builder)

  1. Select Coordinator drop down button at the top right of your CEP account
  2. Select Placements
  3. Click on the blue “+Add” Button
  4. Input title of Package
  5. The Red “Don’t Contact…” Buttons are only to be selected after placements are added to the package. Do not select these buttons yet
  6. Click on the green “Save” button
  7. Package is now created
  8. Click on the grey “List” button that has a ” 0 “
  9. Click on the blue “+Add” Button
  10. Select the term from the dropdown box
  11. Select the  course section for the placement from the dropdown box
  12. The Start/End dates are automatically populated to correlate to the term selected. If the Start/End dates are incorrect, you can click on the blue calendar buttons to change them.
  13. Select a student from the dropdown box
  14. Select an instructor
  15. Select the site from the dropdown box
  16. Select the preceptor
  17. Click “Save and stay open” to add another student by selecting a different student , site, instructor and preceptor OR
  18. Select the green “Save and close” button then repeat steps 3-17
  19. After student placements are added to the package, Select Coordinator drop down button at the top right of your CEP account
  20. Select Placements
  21. Your new placement package will appear at the top of the list of placement packages
  22. Select the Blue “Edit Pencil” for your new package
  23. Now, you can click on the “Don’t contact….” buttons
  24. This will turn them green
  25. Starting with the Preceptor button, Select date/time of contact using the blue calendar button for date and blue clock button for time
  26. Repeat for students and instructors
  27. Click green “Save” button
    1. NOTE: After you click “Save” there will be an email sent to preceptors, students, and instructors of this package, letting them know they have been added to a clinical placement.
